BREAKING IN THE SLUICE BOX

NOTHIN' BUT TROUBLE! Broke in the Sluice Box the right way last night! (8/18/2023) The Alaska based band lead by Megan Killoran was the right choice for the Friday night reveal of the newest structure at the Alaska State Fair.

Since last Fair season they had finally retired the legendary Sluice Box that was sinking with a solid Alaskan styled oasis.

The lights, dance floor and cold beer all made for a killer combination of singing and dancing to the songs of our childhood to some of todays hits.

Killoran blew the roof off with her power notes of her covers including Pat Benetar’s , Heartbreaker, Hit Me With Your Best Shot along with Janis Joplin’s , Piece of My Heart. Killorian does the legendary ladies proud with smoothness and soul that’s required to make you feel it to the core.

The band covers all the hits from Guns n Rose’s, Sweet Child of Mine to Brandi Carliles The Story.

The crowd clung on until the end cheering on for more as they closed with All Night Long by the AC/DC.

For all the years and generations to come, we will look back and know the New Sluice Box started out Rocking the Alaskan way since night one!

Outstanding performance from Nothing But Trouble! No wonder they got to open for Train back in July. They are on the rise so any chance you get, find one of their shows and let the memories roll!
